CARA PRIVILEGE CLUB – TERMS & CONDITIONS

1 Introduction

These conditions govern the Cara Privilege Programme (“Programme”) operated by Cara Holdings (“Cara” or “we”). By participating in the Programme, you confirm that:

  • You have read, understood, and accepted these conditions.
  • You are eligible for membership.

2 Membership

2.1 Membership allows you to earn points redeemable for accommodation or other rewards. Points expire on December 31 of the year following the one in which they were earned

2.2 Membership is free and open to individuals only. It is not available to companies or groups. Joint memberships and multiple accounts are not allowed. Any attempt to hold more than one membership may result in:

  • Termination of membership
  • Removal of enrolment bonuses
  • Forfeiture of all points

Eligibility is subject to local laws and minimum age requirements. Members are responsible for ensuring their eligibility.

2.3 Membership begins once your application is processed and you are issued login credentials. Points can only be earned and redeemed after this date.

2.4 Cara may terminate membership immediately for non-compliance or unpaid bills. Membership also ends upon bankruptcy or death, with cancellation of all unredeemed points.

2.5 If no points are earned for 12 months, your membership may be terminated without notice.

2.6 All member benefits are subject to availability.

3 Earning points

3.1 To earn points, simply inform the front desk or service team that you are a member at check-in or when paying for services.

3.2 You earn 10 points per US$1 spent, excluding gratuities.

3.3 Points are calculated on the amount paid after discounts.

3.4 For stays exceeding 30 consecutive days, points are awarded only for the first 30 days.

3.5 Points can be earned for up to three rooms paid for personally, provided all are booked in your name.

3.6 Foreign currency charges will be converted to US$ using Cara’s rate at the time of payment.

3.7 Points are credited after payment is received. Allow up to three weeks for processing.

3.8 Claims for missing or incorrect points must be made within six months and supported by receipts.

3.9 Points will be adjusted if refunds are issued.

3.10 Qualifying Rates – Any rate booked directly through Cara (website, reservations, email, WhatsApp or phone) is considered a qualifying rate.

3.11 Direct Booking Required – Rates booked via third-party sites (e.g. OTAs or credit-card portals), group/wholesale or staff/corporate discounted rates, and complimentary stays do not earn points

4 Exclusions

Points are not earned on:

  • Bookings made and paid through third parties
  • Group, crew, wholesale, or discounted corporate/staff rates
  • Complimentary rooms or services
  • Gratuities
  • Services not provided by Cara or restricted by law

Employees may earn points only on eligible personal expenditure not reimbursed by Cara.

5 Account Access

Your points balance and transaction history are available at caraprivilegeclub.com using your login credentials.

6 Redeeming Points

6.1 Points can be redeemed via the online rewards claim form once credited to your account.

6.2 Rewards and their required points are listed on the Points Rewards Table, which may change at any time.

6.3 Reward certificates are emailed to the address you provide.

6.4 Reward accommodation is subject to availability and limited to standard room types. Additional charges apply for food, beverages, and taxes. Up to two children under 16 may stay free with you.

7 General Conditions

7.1 All bookings, including rewards, are subject to Cara’s standard reservation policies.

7.2 Participating hotels may change at any time.

7.3 Unused points expire on December 31 of the following year.

7.4 Points, rewards, and certificates are non-transferable and may not be sold or exchanged for cash.

7.5 You are responsible for any tax liabilities related to your rewards.

7.6 Cara may amend or terminate the programme with reasonable notice.

7.7 Rewards may only be claimed in accordance with these terms.

7.8 Cara is not responsible for:

  • Lost, delayed, or misdirected communications
  • Unauthorized use of your membership
  • Third-party errors or omissions

7.9 These conditions are subject to local laws. Invalid provisions will not affect the rest.
